Good luck!
Make a side trip to Garabendal!

Why is the nonchalant and recalcitrant look identified as cool, especially amount teenage boys and young men?

By nonchalant and recalcitrant look, imagine this: a young man (say in his 20s or early 30s) who stares straight, sunken cheeks, expressionless face. You can also think of the many album covers of male singers and male pop/rock musicians and they mostly have that kind of look.

By young men, I mean those from their 20s to around their mid-30s or late-30s.Why is the nonchalant and recalcitrant look identified as cool, especially amount teenage boys and young men?
I don't think this particular look that your words conjure up to me is valid across all racial, socio-economic and educational lines within the age group of western males that you have set forth. It seems to apply to very specific groups, and not males in general of 20-35. Check what your ';males'; have in common, other than the look, and you'll probably have an answer to your question. If I read this correctly, I'd estimate that you are probably thinking of about 12-16 % of males, particularly in America. Why is the nonchalant and recalcitrant look identified as cool, especially amount teenage boys and young men?
That has been around since James Dean. Maybe it's considered mysterious, sexy, a little bit dangerous....

How do I decorate a teenage party?

The party is in hot pink, black and silver but I need some ideas on decorating it. Help!!How do I decorate a teenage party?
What is the party for? Is there a theme? You can't go wrong with Balloons. How do I decorate a teenage party?
if you want to hang things from the ceiling get blank cds tie them to black and pink ribbon and they will move from the breeze and it will look really nice
Ask what the kid likes. If he or she likes a certain theme see if they have party stuff for it. Or, if she's just having a colorful party celebrateexpress.com and Party City have great things for themed parties and just regular ones.
table cloths, streamers, tinsel,

actually take your girl or girls to the party decoration store or walmart or target, and buy them what they want, and have them do the decorations, they will know JUST how they

want it to be done...

You're the adult, make them do it. it's their party, you can help if they are little.
if you have them, small white lights are excellent fun lights...they will lighten the black part of the theme and reflect off the silver..

if you have a dollar store, this is the cheapest place to find silver and party deco for the best price, especially silver curling ribbon. my dollar store was sporting some ';firework'; like poms for table decor.

another place to go are ';party'; stores, that sell balloons and streamers. they often have favors too.

or go to Michaels Craft store. you can probably get a few hot pink boas for special girls (i am assuming because of hot pink the birthday person is a girl?) at any rate, these can be pinned (safety) to the edges of pillows, couches or chairs..

or to line doorways (which could also be lined with lights....)

does this help?
Try asking some the teens about what and how they would like ther party to look like.

But in this way at times you have got to be so indirect.

What is your opinion on teenage parents?

I was just curious to everyone's opinion on teenage moms and dads. What is your opinion on teenage parents?
    As in quality of parenting?

A mother - no matter how old she is - has the same responsibilities. Any mother of any age can ignore or live up to these.

    Same for the dads.

It wouldn't be fair to stereo type. What is your opinion on teenage parents?
I've known lots of teenage parents, in the end it is not whats best for the child or the teen parent. Not that I think it is wrong or bad, just very sad. All parents make mistakes, and not all adults make good parents, I'm sure some teens make better parents than some adults do, but that's not the point. The point is that even a good teen parent could be a better parent if they wait until adulthood, being a parent takes up so much time that a teen loses out on getting to grow up, they take on adult roles, but they get behind in growing themselves. The worst part is the child of the teen suffers through all of the burdens facing a teen parent, without any choice in the matter. Victims of their parents decisions, lack of adult judgment, and growing pains. Teen parenting is the least fair to the child of the teen.
Half of my high school are teenage parents lol I think they should have waited because they can't provide for the kid as well as they could if they had full time jobs. However, most of them are really good parents but some of them are still really immature and use their kids as ways to get money out of the government. But hey people do that at 40 so if thats what they wanna do then go for it lol
They need to keep their legs shut and wait until they can financially and emotionally care for a baby. Now, the ones who make good parents, and do everything for their little one, don't bug me as much. I mean, yes, they bug me because they were careless and stupid, but at least their taking care of their precious little mistake. Ones who get abortions are retards, the baby shouldn't be punished. Their the ones who just needed to have sex. Teens need to calm down and wait until the right time.
I my self was a teenage mom and my son father wasn't around to help me. I don't see why people be saying they weep for them all this and all that. Don't weep for them give them some good advice. Its all depend on how well you can take care of your child and how much family help you may. No, am not saying depend on your family just if you need a lil help ask. yes, i had my son at 15he is 6 now and he is on principle honor roll and in the top five of his class so all i can say is it depends on you. i suppot teen parents 100%.
I think you should have to be 16 or older to have a child. Because thats when you can legally get a job and at least TRY to make money for you and your child! Not all teenage pregnancy's are ';mistakes';. One of my good friends is 17, her and her boyfriend PLANNED their daughter! I hate it when teens have babies and still party and depend on whoever else to watch there kid. It doesnt matter is your 16 or 40, you can still be a bad parent.
I dont think it is really approiprite for teenagers to have children but thats why they made the show 16 %26amp; pregnant on mtv
I weep for them and their family, friends, and baby/ies.

Mother's of teenage girls: What would you encourage your teenage daughter to do if she got pregnant?

    1) Abort it

    2) Have it and give it up for adoption

    3) Keep it and raise it.

If you would encourage #3 - would you help her? How much?Mother's of teenage girls: What would you encourage your teenage daughter to do if she got pregnant?
My daughter is only 7 but it would depend a lot on how she is at that age. Ultimately it's her decision, she has to live with it, and I would not try to sway her. I'd simply give her access to the information and offer my support.

She will be livign with her decision long after I am dead and buried. Besides she got herself into it, she gets herself out. Always with my support but I'm not callign the shots.

I had my daughter when I was 20. It hasnt been easy but I made the decision that was best for me. I would never presume to know whats best for someone else.Mother's of teenage girls: What would you encourage your teenage daughter to do if she got pregnant?
I don鈥檛 have any kids but I can say that if I ever have a daughter who gets pregnant as teenager and she was under 17 , I would advise her to place the child for adoption. Now if she chooses to keep it I would help out but very minimal. She would know that this child is HER responsibility I didn鈥檛 create or adopt the child , its not my responsibility. I might purchase diapers for her and occasionally baby-sit, give a few pointers here and there, but that would be about it. I would not be a live in nanny or babysitter whom she could just deposit the child off anytime she wants, she would have to get some sort of employment to finical support the child. I would probably start a trust fund for the child.

I would not ever support abortion unless she had been raped, or carrying to term would likely result in her death.
My daughter was 15 when she was raped by her boyfriend and became pregnant. We have a beautiful little girl we adore now. I raised the child my daughter was still a child and needed to finish school(and many other things). She did what she could handle to help, but never bonded to the child. Her advice is if your young have an abortion. It is to hard to be daughter, child and mother. Live your life fist, there is lots of time to play house when your older. That is coming from some one who had lot's of help and support. As a family and being catholic we don't promote abortion but some times you need to do what needs to be done.
My mother forced me to get an abortion at 14 and my mother actually said herself that she made me do it because it was easier for her and it would make her look bad if I had had the baby. So now I cannot trust or confide in her...if I were to get pregnant again before 18, I honestly wouldn't tell her before I was at least 3 months because I will NEVER get another abortion again because I'd rather have the burden of that child then the burden of that abortion.

If my daughter became pregnant, I'd support any decision she chose and tell her the pros and cons of each option and let her make up her mind from that point. I'd help her with the baby until she finishes high school and has a steady job or goes to college and gets a steady job after graduating.

No mother should have the absolute final say in whether her daughter keeps her baby or not because the daughter is the one who has to suffer with the consequences the most.
well since i dont believe in murder either keep it or give it up for adoption someone will love the baby that cant have kids.
Keep it and raise it....Would I help her... I don't think I can...Wheres the dad...?

MOST guys are so dumb... They want to have sex, but not take care of their children...
    2

giving a couple who is having trouble to conceive a baby is a beautiful thing and it is possible to do an open adoption
keep it and raise it. but only if she can support it. if not, then i would be best to put the baby up for adoption. I would help her, teach her to raise the baby, and show her how to do things during the early months, but it is up to her to support herself and the baby. i do recommend giving her a baby shower to help her get used to the idea of raising a baby and so that she has some things ahead of time that she'll need and enrolling her in birthing/parenting classes. if she needs a partner and the boy who got her pregnant is not around, you should be her partner.
I am not a mother of a teenager but a 6 yr old. I am however a friend of many of girls put in this situation. I have had friends abort and they dont regret it for a minute. I have also had friends who kept the babies and theyre life was very very hard. Growing up came really fast. So did reality. I have not however had any friends give up a baby . I feel that if the parents are involved they should try like hell to be very open with their daughters. I am now 29 and back then our parents never talked about sex or the possibility of getting pregnant.

parents should also talk about birth control. Well to answer the question I would back my daughter on #1 and #3 I would not allow her to give a baby up. If she didnt want anything to do with the baby I would take that place as a grandmother should.
I would encourage her to eaither keep it and raise it or put it up for adoption. There are plenty of people out there who want to have children and have tried for years but were unsuccessful, and they ready and willing to adopt a child and give it a loving home. Of course is she decided to keep it, I would want my daughter to finish high school and maybe go to junior college, but she will need your help. That doesn't mean that you raise her kid while she goes out and parties and hangs out with friends. She isn't a typical teenager anymore she would be a mother, and with that comes responsibility, and she has to accept that fact and be prepared to face it. I think you would be more of a guiding hand instead of the main one taking care of the baby. Just my thoughts!
I'm not a mother of a teenage girl....I'm not a mother at all....but later on in life when I do have kids and I have a teenage daughter and she winds up getting pregnant, I'd encourage her to keep it and raise it. I'd support her and help her with anything she needed.
I would prefer she did number 3 but I wouldn't encourage her to do anything because its her life not mine. I dont think it would be fair for me to tell her to do a certain thing because whats best for me may not be best for her. What ever she decided though I would help her because I love her. Also if she decided number 3 I would help how ever she needed me too, and I would let her know I will always be there for her no matter what
I am not against abortions. Sometimes I think they are necessary. Well anyways, I would always take her thoughts into consideration. Forcing het to do something is not right. She has rights. But I may want her to abort.DEpends on a lot of things if they arent looking to good.
Yes, help her since she raises the baby, do the home work as a house wife and get some job to feed the child.

Plus no more f.....m around (be very care full with the boys).

Make sure she does not get pregnant again.
I would let her make the decision and I would support her in every way possible. Whether it be holding her had or helping her raise the child.
have it and give it up
What is her age? Is she 13 years old or 19 years old makes a difference doesn't it.

I have two grown daughter and if they had been in this situation, my recommendation would have been based on their age at the time.

Having said that, I have always told them they could come to me for birth control. That I do not condone teen (high school age sex), but if they choose to have relations, I'd would rather they get my help than none at all or from other people who may or may not know what they're talking about.

    I am Catholic.

Yes, I am pro-life, but I am also a realist who believes that it's easy to talk the talk and very very difficult to walk the walk.

Those who judge girls in this situation who have never had to deal in real terms with a situation like this should really just keep their opinions to themselves and consider themselves very lucky.

My answer would probably be #2 if I had to help a teenage girl with an unwanted pregnancy.

I would help in every way I possibly could, no matter what the choice.

Really no easy choices are there?
I am 25 years old and do not have a teenage daughter, but I think it depends on the exact age and maturity level of the teenage girl. If she is younger than 16, I would suggest abortion or giving it up for adoption. If she is 16-18, then I think she could keep it and raise it. Yes, I think that as a grandmother, help would be expected as a babysitter, a guidance tool, etc.
i would encourage her to have the baby. regardless of what she decides to keep it or give it up 4 adoption i will help her. Abortion would not be a choice. i would tell her she shouldnt kill an innocent child because she made a mistake. i would also tell her she needs to grow up and be accountable for her actions. If she did keep the baby, i would help her in ANY way possible, financially or emotionally.
    Keep and raise it -

This is why: teenagers need to learn responsibility for their actions.

I would certainly help her out - but I would not help her in an area where she wasn't willing to help herself. She would continue going to school and working a weekend job to save money. I would match the money she saved for the baby and buy necessary items.

I would help her with getting a babysitter so she can finish school (a VERY important thing!) but only for as long as she kept some kind of job.
I was 15 years old when I got pregnant. I sat down with my mom and gave her the news, she was devastated, but told me my options, told me she loved me, and told me that she would support me no matter what I chose. She made it clear that she would not raise my child, and that she still expected me to graduate High School. I promised I would. And I did...but I did it with a baby on each hip...I went to a school where I could take my babies with me, which was helpful. My mom was always there to show me how to take care of them, but made me do everything with my sons myself. I was only allowed to go out without my boys for 1 night a week. And I still had a curfew....I'm 33 now, my boys are 17...and life is good! Email me if you need to chat... Good Luck.
keep it and raise and i possible stay with the father of the baby, abotion and adoption are likely to be regreted in later life and option3 is better all round and would teach her about respsability
I would encourage and EXPECT her to keep it and raise it. And if she couldn't or wouldn't I would raise it myself.

Why would my love for my children end at my own? Why wouldn't it continue to my grandchildren?

Ugh, just the thought of killing my grandchildren makes me want to hurl.
Support her no matter what she desides. It is her decision and no matter what only she can make it. If she chooses to carry the child make sure she is taking care of her body properly (eating the right foods, doctors visits etc...) If she give the baby up, I would suggest helping her pick out a family that will love and treasure him/her. If she keeps it help her in any way you can. Encourage her to finish school that is most important, Remember that she is still your child but now she too is a mother. Tell her that if she wants help, just to ask for it. You can only help her as much as she wants to be helped.
I would encourage her to be resonsible and to ask me for help when she needed it only as I would want her to learn to mature along with her baby growing. I would ask that if she made mistakes that she made them on her own raising the baby so that she could learn how to be a mother, the best way she could be.

If she chose adoption, I would support her to find an open adoption so that she can try and be as involved as she wants in her baby's life.
I would never to encourage anyone to abort their baby but it would depend on my teenage daughter whether I would encourage her to put the baby up for adoption or keep and raise the child. If she chose to raise the child I would help her in any way that I could but I would make sure that she did most of the work because she needs to know that she made a child and not just a cute little doll that I would have to take care of.
I understand that this is a difficult situation for you. However, to me, the best way to deal with it would be to give the child up for adoption. I feel that abortion is wrong, but i also don't think that ANY teenager is ready to take care of a child. If you make sure that the child goes to a good, responsible family, then you will feel good, knowing that the child is having a good life, and your daughter will be able to continue with her life
I would encourage her to keep it and raise it. I don't think I could live with the idea of aborting it or not knowing where my grandchild is and I would help in any way I could.
Im answering from the other side of this question.

I was a teen mom and when I sat down with my mom and told her she gave me those 3 options. That was 6 years ago and i still thank her for being there for me. She let me choose what i wanted to do and said that she would support me no matter what.

I decided to keep the baby and she was there for me every step of the way. I raised the baby on my own but she was there to assist me the same as any mother would be!

Anyway im sure this isn't the answer you were looking for but i thought i would answer anyway.
Have it and give it up for adoption. Thats what I did. That seems the best for the baby
Door #1!! Door #1!! Unless she was too far along, then door #2. Then I'd give her depo shots in her sleep so even if she won't be smart and responsible with her body I won't be a grandmother before my time.

Why is everyone on the Mental Health board at night a teenage girl?

Is it because they are all seeking attention because they don't receive enough spotlight in their daily lives? Are they all only childs who have been spoiled since day one? Emo?Why is everyone on the Mental Health board at night a teenage girl?
So you've seen the 'real' world have you? I am just glad that these girls can come somewhere like this and see they are not alone. When I was a teenager the internet didn't exist and I thought I was the only person in the whole world who felt like I did, i.e. depressed. Most people thought I was attention seeking too, when actually I was ill. After years of not getting the help I needed I ended up trying to take my own life. Now I am older and realise that if only I had received appropriate help and support I would have not endured years of mental illness. I am now a qualified counsellor working with teenagers and so I think you could say I live in the real world. Maybe you would like to join it one day or is it easier just to sit up on your pedestal judging everyone? Why is everyone on the Mental Health board at night a teenage girl?
I'm assuming you're a teenaged girl yourself, if not a teenaged boy, based on your high school-esque perception of those questions. (I'm not one of those askers, I'm 20 and I've never posted a question here). It's really amazing how much the ';Emo'; stereotype has confused and brainwashed kids like you in the last few years. Wait until you grow up and see the real world. Mental health can deteriorate in anyone (that includes you), and it needs to be tended to when it does. You can't read a person like a book and you can't assume that the help anyone here is asking for is unneeded. Some people don't have any other resources.
Some may be seeking attention - because they actually need it! It isn't always easy to talk about your feelings and if you are depressed/anxious/confused, it is usually worse at night. Of course they are not all only children (some may be) - and they may not necessarily be spoilt. They are not always emo. And more people are online at night, so they can get more opinions.
Night time equals no school. Girls ten to naturally worry a lot more than guys, and we tend to go through more changes than guys. So.. they go on here to get their questions answered.

But you are right, some go on here for attention and yes, even some emo people.
thats just rude people have these problems for a reason and its selfish that you feel you are the only person in the world. its not your right to have a go at people with problems. if you are viewing these boards you need to consider your problems before wasting your time on posting a question
    1. Maybe

    2. Maybe

    3. Emos aren't real

I don't know, maybe girls are more emotional/in touch/willing to talk about their feelings. Whatever the reason, I really don't care, as long as they're not trolls.
They can't sleep so they ask questions about some of their issues. Or, they just love yahoo answers and this late at night is the only time their brother isn't hogging the computer. n_n

What happens when a teenage girl of 15 doesn't use the bathroom at all for a entire day?

What if this is a regular thing? What happens when a teenage girl of 15 doesn't use the bathroom at all for a entire day?
At all? Not even for number one?

That's really bad. Talk to your doctor. Going to the washroom is good for you because it removes waste from your body, and going frequently removes toxins from your body. It's bad to not to at least once a day because those toxins build up.

Drink lots of water. Eat lots of plants (veggies) or other sources of fibre.

Fibre creates mucous in the large intestine, which makes it easier to .. yeah, therefore ridding your body of unwanted products. And the more water you consume, the more old water is removed. What happens when a teenage girl of 15 doesn't use the bathroom at all for a entire day?
OF COURSE ITS NOT A REGULAR THING, UNLESS YOU'RE TOTALLY VOID OF FOOD AND TOTALLY DEHYDRATED. WHAT GOES IN MUST COME OUT, ITS AS SIMPLE AS THAT.

AT THE TENDER AGE OF 15 YOU SHOULD BE TALKING DIRECTLY TO YOUR PARENTS, AND STOP WASTING TIME ON THE INTERNET. HAVE YOUR PARENTS TALKED TO YOU ABOUT PREMARITAL SEX, AND WHAT THE RESULTS OF IT CAN BE? BESIDES PREGNANCY, THERE ARE A MIRIAD OF SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED DISEASES LURKING OUT THERE. ON TOP OF THIS, IF YOUR FIRST SEXUAL EXPERIENCE IS A QUICKIE FROM ANOTHER, IT COULD BE SO TRAUMATIC THAT YOU'LL NEVER HAVE A NORMALLY REWARDING SEX LIFE. YOU NEED MORE HELP THAN I CAN PROVIDE, SO PLEASE TALK TO YOUR PARENTS, IMMEDIATELY, AND PLEASE, DO NOT LET SOME KID TALK YOU INTO HAVE SEX WITH HIM. YOU'LL REGRET IT THE REST OF YOUR LIFE. YOUNG KIDS HAVE RAGING HORMONES, AND WILL TELL YOU ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING IN ORDER TO GET A QUICK ORGASM. I KNOW MANY YOUNG GIRLS WHO'VE EXPERIENCED THIS, AND SOME NEVER HAD A SATISFYING SEX LIFE AFTERWARD.
What do you mean. Do you mean you woke up, went to school, came home, and went to bed and you never once used the bathroom?

Do you mean you don't use the bathroom all day at school??

Do you mean you go pee but not #2 for a whole day??
amy. everyone has to pee sometime during the day, but if you keep holding it in, you can get a urinary tract infection and trust me they are painful. so when you feel even a little bit like going, then go.
You're not drinking enough water or eating enough fiber, depending on what you're not doing (urinating or bowel movements).
You could have bladder issues, my opinion. Ask your doctor.

  • Divorce Question: Can a teenage child be forced to live with a parent after divorce against their will?

I'm sorry I didn't really know how this worked the first time. I am a teacher, and student asked me this question today. The student was very upset and worried. Does the state matter? Are all states the same? Does the child always have a say (as long as both parents are fit) in the matter?Divorce Question: Can a teenage child be forced to live with a parent after divorce against their will?
Unless the child is 18 he or she is property of the parents baby! Now if both parents want the child, and both have an ability to provide a safe, stable, and nurturing environment, then the judge in a divorce proceeding has the option on meeting with the child and discussing how the child feels about which parent they live with... trust me, I know because it happened to me when my parents split up.Divorce Question: Can a teenage child be forced to live with a parent after divorce against their will?
Typically, when a child reaches the age of 13 or 14 they allow the child to choose on their own which parent they live with.

Reassure your student that they WILL have a voice of who they live with, if both their parents are fit and able to take care of them. Tell your student that if they wish to speak to the school counselor on the matter they're welcome to go down and talk with him/her. Make sure the child feels comfortable discussing who they want to live with -- it sounds to me like they are afraid to live with one of their parents. If any abuse/neglect is going on, then they will definitely not allow this child to live with that parent.

Like I said, 13 or 14 they are outright allowed to choose. Younger than that, the court listens to their opinion and makes a decision based on that and the opinion of which parent they think would be best.

    Good luck.
First of all, you are not authorized to answer this question for your student. By doing so you would be putting your job in jeopardy... you are giving legal advise to a minor, without parental consent, who will take your response seriously, when you are not licensed to practice law. Do not answer that.

Second. Technically, yes. In a divorce with minor children, courts make custody and visitation orders. If the parents do not abide by these orders, they are in contempt of court = big trouble.

The child may have a say if he/she is 14 or older. That doesn't mean that the child will get what they want, but at that age they are considered to be capable of independent thought that may influence the court's decision. HOWEVER, since you said that both parents are fit, they will likely award joint physical custody.
As a teacher, you should comfort your child and encourage them to either talk to a school counselor about their concerns or to one or both parents. You may be liable if you give advice to this child, and there are just too many ways for this to be harmful. Why is the student upset? Are they fearful of living with one parent? What was he/she worried about, specifically?

The teen can look up divorcesource.com or any other resource and search for information by state. They can also ask their parents the question. Most teens are pretty internet savvy and just need perhaps the phrase to search (';custody in Minnesota, child choosing residency'; for example).

Regardless of what you've been told here, MOST states have not enacted the actual legislation that gives children (even teens) the right to choose where to live in a divorce. MOST of the guidelines state that the judge has the RIGHT, but not the OBLIGATION, to listen to a child over a minimum age of 12. If the parents agree, the child is going to have to live where they say until legally adult. If the parents contest, the child can write an affadavit for the court to consider EVEN in states where family court judges tend not to listen to children.

It is difficult for a teen to go through this. Have an open door and be as supportive as you can without giving out legal advice.
I know of a child of 13yo who was able to choose where she wanted to live in the state of Minnesota in a custody hearing. Also, cops dont usually call a child of 17 a runaway if they are with the other parent and often do not take them back to the custodial parent. The child can try to become emancipated from the parents thru the court system as i have seen that done.

However, as a teacher, this dilema is best put to the school counselor cuz I dont believe it is an answer you want to be responsible for.
A teenager can make their own decision where they want to live. They can let the parent know that they want to live with them and the parent needs to let their attorney know. I live in GA and the age that a child can make the decision where they want to live is 11. Ohio the child has to be 12.
In Oklahoma the child can choose at 12. The court will listen to their feelings at ANY age. Not all states are the same. If both parents are fit - I would think all the child would have to do is say where he/she wanted to live.

Usually a teenager is given a choice if both parents are considered fit for custody and willing to be the custodial parent.
most states it is actually 15. If the child is 15 the child can decide who she wants to live with. I know this because AI just recently went through the same thing.
As long as the child is mentally competent the state usually allows them to choose.
In Illinois, a 14 y/o can petition the court for their own interests. But I doubt this is the same for all states.
I think when they are like 14 they can make there on decision

Why do so many teenage girls take tons of goofy and pointless pictures of themselves with friends?

It's quite preposterous to me. It seems like some new digital era fad that has crept into the minds of these teenage girls. I am a teenage guy, none of my friends do this. Just a girl thing I guess or what's the deal with the plethora of just garbage photos. Sorry to be so harsh but being a photographer it's painful to say the least...Why do so many teenage girls take tons of goofy and pointless pictures of themselves with friends?
girls do it because they are in the ';prime'; looks wise, so they can remember how pretty they are before they get fat or gain the freshmen 15Why do so many teenage girls take tons of goofy and pointless pictures of themselves with friends?
I was a teen at the beginning of the digital era, and I took countless pictures of friends, family, and myself. I'm sure there is a psychological reason that teens do it so much. If I had to speculate, I would assume it has to do with identity and fitting in.

As for you, I'm not sure why it would bother you so much. It's really presumptuous of you to judge others on this. I understand that you are a photographer, but as a mother, I think all pictures of my daughter are art, regardless of what any ';expert'; would say. lol
Because they have the right to...

Well its not that hard to take pictures anymore, there's camera's on phones, so you can get it anywhere.

Plus, there are a lot of professional photographers that take pics of things that I think are stupid.
I don't know...I'm a teenage girl right now, and I don't do that at all. I think it's all just pointless, but that's just me.
I'm not a teenager anymore and I still do it. My boyfriend and guy friends join in on the goofiness. It's just for fun.
i know.. some people in my area actually PLAN PARTIES just so they can take pics!!! its rediculous
    because they cant decide which is their ';good side';

What is a good teenage vampire love series?

I'm 16, and have read both the Twilight series and The Vampire Diaries series...they were both very similar, and both VERY good!

Are there any other series (or just books) out there that are similar to these?

I was suggested something by Laurell K. Hamilton, but after reading some reviews I thought that her writing was more aimed at more ';mature'; readers..

Help would be greatly appreciated! What is a good teenage vampire love series?
I red Twilight and I am a fan of vampire literature. (It's a genre!)

~I red the first book of ';Anita Blake: Vampire series'; by Laurell K. Hamilton and I'm halfway trough the second. At first I chose not to read this, because of the reviews and I heard there was some erotica and I wasn't that much into that kind of literature. Then I found the book by accident and decided to give it a try. I was surprised. It's really good. You should give it a try also, it's a long series, 16 so far, you will definitely not get bored. Anita is a strong female model and the narrative is from Anita's point of view. Hamilton did a really good job. Read the first book and you will not regret it.

~ The best series ';The Vampire Chronicles'; by Anne Rice. The best books of vampire literature genre. And basically, Anne Rice is the inventor of modern vampire. What is a good teenage vampire love series?
    Anne Rice is good.

Peeps and The Last Day by Scott Westernfeld

Any books by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes are amazing! There is In The Forest of The Night, Demon In My View, Shattered Mirror, Midnight Predator. And then there is the The Kiesha'ra series: Hawksong (the best in the series!), Snakecharm, Falcondance, Wolfcry and Wyverhail.

Blood and Chocolate by Annette Curtis Klause (Werewolfs, but still good!)

The Silver Kiss by Annette Curtis Klause

The Morganville Vampire series (Glass Houses, Dead Girls Dance, Midnight Alley and Feast of Fools) by Rachel Cain

    Dracula by Bram Stoker
you can got to this site it gives you a list of vampire love series

Would you think your teenage daughter had an eating disorder if she was 5'9 and weighed 109 pounds?

Even if she was a vegan and was incredibly athletic like playing on the track %26amp; field and swimming %26amp; diving teams, and being the captain of the dance troupe, so there were justifiable reasons for her being thin?Would you think your teenage daughter had an eating disorder if she was 5'9 and weighed 109 pounds?
I would suspect it, I admit. According to a BMI chart that is very underweight. She would be a walking skeleton.

http://www.nhlbisupport.com/bmi/Would you think your teenage daughter had an eating disorder if she was 5'9 and weighed 109 pounds?
most parents will suspect it as they could think you where using being vegan and all the exercise to lose weight without it being suspicious

    but i woudnt asumme it

as i know that being anorexic isnt about how much you weigh

    its a mental condition

so if she was fine in the brain id just try to get her foods that help put on weight

(im one of the skinny people who cant put on weight and who everyone thinks is anorexic when i dont have a single symptom)
If she was thin all her life, then no. She is fit and slim. That's great. If on the other hand she just dropped 30lb in 2 month, I'd say you have something to be concerned about.

P.S. she might earn her colledge tuition by doing some modeling.
if she is eating well, fit and healthy, i won't worry about it. Some people just has that gene or metabolism, like my husband, he eats like a pig and still very skinny.
That's pretty thin. If it were an adult, I'd be alarmed w/ that BMI but sometimes teenage girls will have a pretty low BMI naturally.
gosh hun that girl needs some hamburgers %26amp; pizza

i am 6'1 not fat but not skinny %26amp; i know how much i weight %26amp; that scares me a bit
a vegan diet starves the body of nutrients it needs. That's why she's so skinny.
